HAND-SHAPING:

Place dough on a slightly floured surface. Let dough rest for 5 minutes.

With a lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle. Square off edges. Spread evenly withbrown sugar-cinnamon filling. Roll up lengthwise, jelly-roll fashion. Pinch edges together.

Slice into 1-inch thick rounds. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Cover with a clean cloth. Place in a warm,draft-free spot to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown. Remove and cool on a rack.

When cooled to room temperature, drizzle with icing.

 

1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 1/2 cups bread flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

1 large egg

3/4 cup water

 

BROWN SUGAR - CINNAMON FILLING:

1/4 cup dark brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened

(Mix together to form a soft paste.)

 

ICING:

2 tablespoons butter, softened

1 1/2 teaspoons unbleached all-purposted flour

1/4 cup confectioner's sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

(Blend all ingredients until smooth.)

 

Add ingredients in the order listed. All ingredients must be at room temperature.

Press SELECT for Dough.

Press START. Bread machine will knead and rise once. When the Bread Machine beeps 10 times, 5 minutesbefore the end of the second kneading, add 1/2 cup raisins.

At the end of the program, press STOP/RESET. Dough is ready for hand-shaping, rising and baking.
